According to the American Red Cross, 8 in 10 surveyed parents said that they would pay more for a trained babysitter who holds a certificate from the Red Cross than a babysitter that isn’t certified. The Babysitter’s training course is a valuable tool in your childcare arsenal which will provide a significant advantage for yourself and for the children you care for. Purpose: The Babysitter’s training course purpose is to provide aspiring babysitters with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children of all ages. This curriculum designed and rigorously examined by the American Red Cross Organization helps participants to develop leadership skills, understand the basics of building a babysitting business, create a framework for being a professional and reliable sitter, ensure that safety is a top priority in their childcare environment, and prepares to guide,recognize, and handle children's behavior. Participants will also learn about basic child care methodology, creating and implementing age-appropriate activities, understanding basic first aid, basic CPR, how to handle choking, and other relevant and important information in case of an emergency such as external bleeding, fractures, allergies and more.
